The accelerator pedal or gas pedal is put to the test, especially when the years start to count, which is the case with our classic car. A bent, rusted or chipped accelerator pedal is therefore common.
If acceleration doesn't feel like it should, check not only the condition of the accelerator pedal, but also everything attached to it. Don't keep riding with it, or you'll be in trouble on the road.
The accelerator pedal comes off without any fastening hardware or other parts. Replacing the accelerator pedal will undoubtedly reveal other components that also need replacing. The "related parts" tab lists the most common parts directly related to accelerator pedal replacement.
