If you want to remove the whole sleeve from the steering shaft, for example to save weight when driving on the track, or if you own a Sandrail, Formula Vee or other design of your own, then this steering shaft bearing is a solution.
This bearing is slid around the steering bar and fixed to the body or tubular chassis. This bearing is a sliding bearing and is therefore also equipped with a grease nipple for lubrication.
Since in many cases the steering shaft bearing is mounted in plain view, the exterior is chrome-plated.
