These grease seals are located at the point where the axle flanges protrude from the differential housing and on which the IRS shafts are mounted.
If this retaining ring only transpires oil, it does not need to be replaced, this oil transpiration ensures that the retaining ring does not dry out. If there are drops, they leak and you'll have to replace them.
