These special hollow-head cylinder bolts with fixed corrugated ring have only been used in Volkswagen Bus vehicles since the 1968 model year, although they are indispensable in today's automotive technology.
Fixed washer bolts were developed to speed up the production process or were used in places where a loose washer is inconvenient or sometimes impossible to fit and remove, such as where space is limited.
Although this is a standard part, you won't find them in a DIY store, they are mass-produced but mainly for the automotive sector.
Below you will find, per VW Bus model, where these bolts are used and the total number of parts required.
